The Academic and Knowledge Summit: Towards the construction of a Euro-Latin American and Caribbean common space of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, took place in El Salvador in the framework of the structured cooperation between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), in which higher education, research, technology and innovation have been assigned particular priority.

CAMINOS' partners have been invited to participate in the EU events on support for academic cooperation during the EU-CELAC Knowledge Week. On October 4th, CAMINOS project was presented in the Seminar on recognition of study periods abroad, the seminar was an excellent opportunity to exchange best practices regarding the removal of obstacles for student mobility between Europe and Latin American and Caribbean countries. Experts involved in regional cooperation projects on promotion of mobility and regional integration have presented policy recommendations of the projects and tools developed to facilitate fair recognition of study periods abroad.

Finally, CAMINOS' partners also gathered in the framework of the Summit to evaluate and discuss the project development and its future challenges.
